Onsite Design Group Manager

Mandatory qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in engineering design or project management of infrastructures projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering college or university.
• Experience with system applications such as eBuilder and SharePoint and ability to navigate the software.
• Experience with administering DB/DBB submittal reviews for design/construction and assess submittals for technical engineering scope.
• Perform compliance assessment of technical packages based on identified design guidelines and RPW documents.
• Make determinations to assign/task appropriate discipline(s) (Civil, Electrical, Structural, etc.) to provide technical review/audits for complex design packages.
• Experience with managing multi-disciplinary teams and resolve technical conflicts.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent organizational and oral/written communication to collaborate effectively.
• Proficient in software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Valid driver’s license.

Desired qualifications:

• Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of New York.
• Professional engineering experience in design of civil infrastructures (e.g., stormwater and sanitary sewer collection systems, water distribution systems, roadway design and pavements).
• Working knowledge of codes, engineering guidelines, and standards such as AASHTO,  NYC Building Code, etc.
• Experience in problem solving, decision making, negotiations, and conflict resolution.
• Proficiency in auditing contract documents; drawings, and technical specifications.
