Controller (Finance and Accounting)

Duties and Responsibilities:

•     Overseeing Financial Reporting: Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
•     Managing Accounting Operations: Supervising accounting staff and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
•     Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and managing the organization's budget, as well as forecasting future financial performance.
•     Internal Controls: Establishing and maintaining financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
•     Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
•     Coordination with Auditors: Working with external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with auditing standards, as well as tax filings.
•     Strategic Planning: Collaborating with senior management to develop financial strategies that align with the organization's goals.
•     Accounting Team: Lead, mentor, and provide guidance

Skills and Qualifications:

•     Advanced Accounting Knowledge: Proficiency in accounting principles and practices, and strong knowledge of GAAP.
•     Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals and staff.
•     Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends.
•     Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
•     Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey financial information effectively.
•     Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve financial issues efficiently.

Education and Experience:

•     Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•     Professional Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
•     Experience: 5-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record of leadership and financial management (minimum of 3 years in a leadership role), preferably as a Controller.
